Limbic System

The Limbic System is our survival brain area. It overrides the thinking processes when the brain receives the message of danger.

Emotional or physical pain can cause the limbic system to be hyper-aroused. This sabotages our health and recovery.

Here are two new videos which can help explain how the limbic system can affect our health.

Hormones play an important part in our health, affecting our blood pressure, heart, gut, bladder, and other other systems.

Finding ways to manage stress from whatever cause can improve the quality of our lives. I have used many different mindfulness practices and ventral vagal breath to improve my health.

As my feeling of alarm lowered, I was able to follow the teachings of healers like Gabor Mate and Eckhart Tolle. There are many spiritual leaders who have led the way to whole body and mind health, from Jesus, to Mohammed, and Buddha.

We are all similar in that we hunger for love. Learning to love ourselves is probably the hardest task of all. I know it was for me. Many of us carry shame and fear burdens which hold us back. Learning to live in the moment and learning to love can set us free.

I wish you a path of kindness to yourself and to others.
