Enthesopathy can occur where a tendon attaches to a bone, like achilles enthesopathy.
Some people are prone to injuries where the tendons attach to the bone. There could be inflammation or microtrauma from repetitive injury, or specific trauma. This is more frequent in women, especially if you have diabetes or metabolic disease, or if you have other chronic diseases of inflammation like psoriasis, colitis, or ankylosing spondylitis. Chronic inflammation can even come from stress – physical or emotional – remember your body can’t tell the difference between physical or emotional stress.
