When we are in pain, emotional or physical, a response could be to withdraw. Social isolation can be harmful. We are social animals and we depend on each other to thrive. But growing up we may have been harmed by people we were meant to trust, even our parents. When we have chronic pain, we may have learned to distrust the medical community. Finding our way to connecting with others can be very difficult.
I hope these videos will help. I would suggest to watch a few minutes at a time, and scan your body for signs that you may be triggered.
