Pre-menopause and pain

Almost all women will start to have a rise in their estrogen levels as they approach menopause. It’s like the ovaries see the end in sight and they sprint to the finish. Progesterone, like the tortoise, gets left behind. The discrepancy between estrogen and progesterone levels, causes stress on the body and fluctuations in other hormones which can lead to headaches, fatigue, flushing, tingling, spiders crawling up and down the skin, all sorts of weird and wonderful symptoms.

Like pain, emotional stress can be seen as a burden. When the burden is too high, the body keeps the score. Headaches and other symptoms are a distress call from your body. Life gets in the way, but as far as possible, you need to minimize the damage.
